Flint Insurance has been working closely with Investors in People UK to develop a scheme which provides recognised organisations with reduced premiums because they represent a lower risk to insurers. Initial meetings with senior personnel at leading insurers indicated that currently many do not take into account whether an organisation is recognised as an Investor in People or not when assessing risks. However further detailed dialogue has resulted in insurers agreeing that Investors in People recognised companies represent a reduced insurance risk, meaning that they should benefit from receiving reduced premiums and better policy coverage.

Flint Insurance estimate that some organisations will achieve commercial insurance discounts of between 10% and 25% which could mean savings of thousands or even tens of thousands of pounds for some businesses.
