Good old fashioned insurance broking – the original aggregators

These days we would be hard pressed to find a UK adult who has not heard the go compare opera singer; laughed at Sergei and his mate or wondered whether the ‘confused person’ really did start out as a woman (or is that just us)?

So, we are all now pretty familiar with the concept of an insurance aggregator; searching the market to for the best price. Well, as an insurance broker, Flint has been doing just that for about the last 30 years. Except typically, we do a little bit more - our commercial clients get a completely bespoke service where we provide specific recommendations as to the best (not cheapest) cover for their needs; we can speak direct to the underwriter about the risk, plus help if the unforeseen happens and support you in making a claim.

We make sure that we cover most of the market for many different classes of insurance and have resident experts who understand and have practical experience of what the issues are with a given product/situation. Personal or commercial clients can speak to us at any time to ask for our advice.

As the insurance market has changed we’ve responded to those changes and steadily grown our own business over the years. Some might think of insurance brokers as a bit of an institution, but we feel that more than ever, what we offer is of real value to businesses and consumers alike. It’s not only underwriters who create insurance products; many insurance brokers are instrumental in much of the innovation that we see today.
