Soaring motor rates – consider family fleet
We’ve all seen newspaper column inches devoted to the rising cost of motor insurance, particularly for younger drivers. Indeed in some cases young people literally cannot afford to get on the road.
Whilst we can’t cut the rates, we can make sure that clients are always offered a range of options. And want to draw your attention to family fleet policies.
We have a few insurers who will offer competitive rates on four vehicles or more at the same address. Depending on the insurer vehicles can be motorcycles, vans, cars and even a bit of an ‘old banger’. There cannot be more drivers than vehicles; so four drivers or fewer, and fewer drivers means a cheaper policy.
This doesn’t suit everyone, but it can work particularly well for a tradesman who needs Van insurance of to insure his and his wife’s car, plus the young adults of the household.
